Sunday Papers

"Well I got nuthin' against the press, they wouldn't print it if it wasn't true...."
Like Joe Jackson says, if its in the papers, it must be the truth.
If we are to believe the NY Times, there is a "resurgence" in the "sport" of backyard pool skating (when did it ever die?). Dogtown is out, Fresno is in, and fucking pools up and then getting as fucked up as possible is the new M.O. (when did that ever stop being the old M.O.?).
All that aside, not a bad article for an "outsider" publication (now if they would just stop calling it a "sport"):
NY Times:"Recession-Ravaged Yards, Inviting Skaters to Drop In"
Note to NY Times: You're blowing it - foreclosed homes are so 2009. Who needs foreclosed pool homes when you can build one in your own backyard? Beers, bud, no cops, and no "15 minute" rule....what's not to like? I suppose we'll be reading about this "new trend" in the papers in about 5 years.....
Happy B-Day Lloyd!!
